Homeowners Board

Meet your Waterford HOA II Homeowners Association Board of Directors below.  Board members are elected or, in the case of unanticipated resignations, appointed to serve.  All officers are elected by vote of the Board.  All board memberships are volunteer positions, and members are neither compensated nor receive any discounts or in-kind benefits in consideration for their time and service.  Your HOA Board members are responsible, among other things, for hiring and overseeing the Property Management and Pool Management Companies as well as the HOA bookkeeper.  Board Members meet once a month to discuss issues, management of funds, improvement opportunities, receive committee and property manager reports and allow community members the opportunity to provide concerns, comments and suggestions.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but have a question or an issue you would like to be considered, please feel free to email your Board at the following addresses or by clicking here to send your message to all board members at once.


John Mountjoy – President

John Mountjoy has been a Waterford resident for nine years, and he and his wife Marnie are active in the neighborhood with their two children. When John’s not driving children to and from an unholy amount of extracurricular activities, he serves as the executive director of the Kentucky Head Start Association. John previously served on Waterford’s HOA board from 2012 to 2017 and as board president from 2015 to 2017.

Lea Toland – Treasurer

Lea Toland, her husband and their 4 children moved to Waterford in 2017.  Lea works part time for the Livesay Group, PLLC as an Executive Assistant.  She spend most of her time caring for her household and family and volunteering with a variety of organizations around Lexington.  She has previously served as Treasurer and Coordinator for MOPS International at Porter Memorial Church.  She looks forward to serving the Waterford community.

Heather Mueller – Secretary

Heather Mueller and her husband Matt moved to Waterford in 2003 because they knew it would be the perfect place to raise their sons, Aidan and Eli.  Heather started her own online retail business in 2009 which allows her time to be an active volunteer at Veterans Park Elementary and Southern Middle School.   Heather served as the Waterford Social Committee Chair for 2 1/2 years and helped to create and continue many of the family fun activities that make Waterford a wonderful neighborhood.

Michael Kurtz – Member

Michael has lived in Waterford with his wife Susan & daughter Ainsley for over eight years.  His home on Rolling Creek backs up to the creek and he’s passionate about this key feature of Waterford.  His daughter spent several years on the swim team, one of the many great things about our neighborhood. Mr. Kurtz is an insurance agent with Alliance Assurance an independent insurance agency who specializes in personal lines, auto and homeowners insurance.

Laura Williamson – Member 

Laura Smith Williamson and her husband Ryan built their Waterford home in 2003 and when they expanded their family needing a bigger house, they bought another Waterford home just a few streets away!  Laura is a native of Frankfort, owns a small video transfer business and works for Seton Catholic School. Laura has volunteered her time at Seton serving on the School Board, CRHP – Christ Renews His Parish, Star Crew PTO and BUILD – Building a United Interfaith Lexington through Direct-Action as well as volunteering in the classroom. She has been a member of Waterford’s Social Committee for two years.  Their children, Jake and Sophia, enjoy swimming at Waterford’s pool and being a part of the Waterford Waverunners Team.

Liz Trimble – Member

Liz Trimble has been a resident of Waterford for over 10 years.  She and her husband Cody have three kids who keep her very busy.  Liz is a speech-language pathologist and a mom taxi.  Her kids are active on the Waterford Waverunners swim team and most summer days you can find the whole family at the pool.  Mrs. Trimble loves this neighborhood and is looking forward to serving on the Waterford HOA board.
